CBD has been known all around the world by its medical successes for both humans and animals alike. But were you ever aware this product can also benefit you in terms of beauty? This compound was found to be beneficial to the skin, a major aspect of beauty among men and women alike. According to an article, CBD was found to alleviate inflammation as well as moisturize dry skin. It also has great promise of having steroid-like effects.

Though little has been allotted as to this compound being a beauty ingredient in the future, it does have a lot of potential. What’s missing are some studies and willing companies to give CBD a try to place in their products. Without further, here are a few beauty benefits you may get from using CBD healing salve.

First Of All, What Is CBD?

This compound is called Cannabidiol, or CBD for short. It is derived from the hemp plant, a subspecies of the Cannabis Sativa genus. There are two plants under this genus, hemp is one and its sister specie is marijuana. We’ll reiterate what has been said in many articles, CBD is not, nor is it from marijuana.

The main difference between these two is merely the amount of THC in them. Tetrahydrocannabinol is a compound found in copious amounts inside marijuana. This compound is the one responsible for getting stoners “high”, which is why it has shrouded hemp with its stigma. Hemp on the other hand is plentiful in Cannabidiol and scarcely has any THC amount.

Companies that produce CBD mostly remove the small amount of THC from their hemp source. This is because Tetrahydrocannabinol presence in products such as CBD oils, hemp, edibles, vape juice, and even their salve gives a sense of displeasure to customers. They prefer to have the benefits without getting high, which is a reasonable reason given that many workplaces conduct surprise drug tests. Cannabidiol products, unlike marijuana, do not let you fail drug tests.

Despite that, having THC seems to have its benefits, though unacknowledged by many. This benefit stems from a biological reaction in the body when one uses CBD products infused with a little amount of THC. It is called the entourage effect, and what it does is form a synergistic relationship between cannabinoids (yes, it includes THC) to heighten the effect of CBD in the body. 0.3% THC and less is the regulated and legal amount of THC you can have in a product, but most companies tend to bypass this for pure cannabidiol.

Finally, The Benefits

CBD is known to help with many medical conditions and has been deemed safe by many studies. Even the WHO (World Health Organization) has stated cannabidiol to be unable to induce addiction, dependence, and overdose.

For Sensitive And Dry Skin

If your skin is prone to rashes and itchiness, then this product is perfect to counter it. Cannabidiol has anti-inflammatory properties perfect for skin prone to conditions such as eczema, contact dermatitis, and even skin asthma. This will leave your skin moisturized and serve as a precaution for any oncoming skin conditions as well.

Not only that but with hemp seed oil infused in the salve, essential oils omega 6 and omega 3 are present. This will manage dry skin and give more elasticity and integrity. These benefits happen by just a swipe of the salve, all the while keeping your skin moisturized and smooth.

Treats And Prevents Acne

Acne is considered an inflammatory condition, and guess what product has anti-inflammatory properties as mentioned above? Yes, Cannabidiol products can potentially treat and even prevent acne from happening. This happens when the compound interacts with the receptors and inflammation sites. It suppresses inflammation, at the same time preventing WBC and cytokines to flock around the area.

CBD products are also found to prevent sebum-production, which helps prevent acne further. This does not allow your face to dry out though, as it only gets rid of the excess sebum. Read on here https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3997295/ on how the ECS and cannabinoids work together to bring about balance in the body. Cannabidiol aims to bring homeostasis to the body, nothing excessive and nothing lacking.

Anti-aging Properties

It is a success to discover that Cannabidiol has properties that prevent aging from happening. Again, because of its inflammatory property, it successfully gets rid of any ruddy patches on the face and helps maintain clear skin.

Other than that, it is also an antioxidant. It counters free-radical damage while cleansing you of its ill-effects. This is one property unique to a CBD healing salve and can be used for this purpose, or its intended use. Whatever it may be, it’s a nifty property to have.
