Tonight’s MLB All-Star Game at Dodger Stadium airs on FOX at 8 PM.
Before we talk more about The Game, the extraordinary 64-win first half by the Yankees and the Mariners, who won eleven straight to close the first half, let’s look at the state of the union heading onto the break.
While the Yankees are in a superior class, followed by the Dodgers and Astros, Seattle looks like a team that can sustain and challenge the Astros for the AL West Championship.
The Orioles, surprisingly, are the hottest in the AL right now with 10 straight wins but we’re skeptical they’ll sustainable it. The Mariners are deeper and more stable in their pitching rotation. Plus, they have Julio Rodriguez, who is -300 for Rookie of the Year over at Caesars New York sportsbook. That said, we’re glad to see the Orioles moving in the right direction — finally.

Top Playoff Probabilities & Chance at the World Series
The Bronx Bombers are smashing their way to a projected 107-win season. Given the current landscape, they have a 100% chance of making the postseason.
According to the remaining schedule, simulations, and current power rankings, the Yankees lead the way in World Series win probability with a 23.8% chance.
It’s no wonder; just look at their roster. The Yankees also boast the most players representing any team in this year’s All-Star Game with six members of their squad:
● Aaron Judge
● Giancarlo Stanton
● Jose Trevino
● Gerrit Cole
● Nestor Cortes
● Clay Holmes
It’s no wonder they are at the top of the odds boards at Caesars New York sportsbook to play in the World Series. You can find them at +1200 to defeat the Dodgers and +1800 to defeat the Mets.
Don’t count out the Braves. They are defending World Series champs and are also making a strong showing at the All-Star Game with five representatives.
They have a 93% chance of making the playoffs and just a 6.2% chance of winning the Fall Classic.
The real threat to the Yankees comes from the City of Angels. The Dodgers are on track to win 104 games and also have a 100% chance of appearing in the playoffs. They sit just behind the Yanks with a 21.4% chance of winning the Series.
Houston is another team with a high likelihood of making it through the playoffs. The Astros have a 99% chance of entering the post season and a 13.4% shot at making it through the AL to stand as one of the final two teams.
It would be amazing to see the Mets vs. the Yankees in the Series. However, with baseball being a game of statistics, we have to go with the numbers available and think that we’ll see the Dodgers and Yankees in the Series.
