Different Jobs the Aerospace Industry Provides

One thing that makes the aerospace industry so unique is that it offers so many different types of jobs. This means that there is something for everyone who is interested in working in the industry. If you are looking for a challenging and rewarding career, then the aerospace industry is ideal.

Aerospace Engineer

Aerospace engineers are responsible for designing, building, and testing aircraft, spacecraft, missiles, and rockets. They also develop new technologies for use in these vehicles. Aerospace engineering is a highly technical field that requires a strong understanding of mathematics and physics. Aerospace engineers typically have a bachelor’s degree in engineering.

Aircraft Pilot

Aircraft pilots fly airplanes and helicopters. They are responsible for the safety of their passengers and cargo.
Pilots must have a commercial pilot’s license, which requires training from an accredited institution. Pilots also must pass a physical exam and a written test.

Aircraft Mechanic

Aircraft mechanics are responsible for maintaining and repairing aircraft. They must be able to diagnose and fix problems with the aircraft’s engines, wings, landing gear, and other systems.

Mechanics typically have an associate’s degree in aircraft maintenance or a related field. They must also pass a written test and a physical exam.

Aerospace Technician

Aerospace technicians work on aircraft and spacecraft. They install, maintain, and repair the vehicles’ electronic systems, engines, and other components. Technicians typically have an associate’s degree in aerospace engineering or a related field. They must also pass a written test and a physical exam.

Manufacturer

Manufacturers produce parts and components for aircraft and spacecraft. They use a variety of machines to create these parts, such as lathes and milling machines. To become a manufacturer, you will need to have a high school diploma or equivalent. You will also need to complete on-the-job training.

Air Traffic Controller

Air traffic controllers direct the movement of aircraft in the sky. They must be able to quickly and accurately make decisions that ensure the safety of the passengers and crew on board. To become an air traffic controller, you will need to have a high school diploma or equivalent. You will also need to complete on-the-job training.

Flight Marshal

A flight marshal is a law enforcement officer who is responsible for the safety and security of an aircraft. They work closely with the pilot and crew to ensure that all passengers and cargo are safe. To become a flight marshal, you will need to have a high school diploma or equivalent. You will also need to complete on-the-job training.

Science and Research

The aerospace industry is also responsible for a lot of research and development. Scientists and researchers work on developing new technologies that can be used in aircraft and spacecraft. The opportunities for this job are endless, as the aerospace industry is constantly evolving. To become a scientist or researcher, you will need to have a Ph.D. in engineering or a related field. You will also need to have several years of experience in the field.
