Today, buying Cannabidiol (CBD) products can come with many surprises, especially when it’s purchased from the wrong source. Although there are many places such as convenience stores, smoke shops, and novelty markets where CBD can be bought, some do not come as advertised.

Any high-quality CBD product should come with a verifiable Certificate of Analysis (COA). The COA is a lab report that displays the CBD ratios per dosage and other important ingredients found on each package. Additionally, it also shows the THC content and percentages that can cause a positive drug test.

To discover the difference between CBD and hemp seed oil, where to buy lab-tested CBD, and the best CBD companies to buy it from, continue reading this buyer’s guide.

What’s the Difference Between CBD vs. Hemp Seed Oil?

Before we start, it’s important to understand the difference between CBD and hemp oil; therefore, let’s break it down in the simplest way possible. CBD is a chemical compound found in both the hemp and cannabis plant. Various methods are then used to extract the cannabidiol compound and infuse it into different CBD products.

CBD extracted from cannabis has to be closely monitored for its counterpart compound tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the chemical element known to get people high. On the other side of the spectrum, CBD extracted from hemp seed oil comes from a strain known as industrialized hemp.

According to the Shelby Report, industrialized hemp contains less than three percent THC but contains the valuable cannabinoid CBD and many others. There are three types of extracted CBD: full-spectrum, broad-spectrum, and isolates. Buying CBD oil from extracted hemp seeds is the safest.

What to Look for in a CBD Vendor?

One of the most important things to look for in a CBD vendor or supplier is their reputation. It’s essential to make sure the company providing the CBD products have a good customer support system and answer questions concerning the products they sell.

Some other factors to consider include the following:

● Time in Business: It’s paramount to look at when a CBD supplier has been in business. While some new start-ups are legitimate, many fall short of supplying the advertised amounts of hemp seed oil. Make sure the company has been in business for a while and has a solid track record.
● Information About CBD Products: Whether hemp oilseed or cannabis extracts, information about the products via packaging or website education, it’s a good sign that the CBD supplier is legitimate and cares about their products and the consumer.
● Return Policies: When buying CBD hemp oil or other products such as tinctures or edibles, it’s paramount that they offer a money-back guarantee. The standard time is typically a 30-day policy; some may offer between 45-90 days. Thirty days is the average.

Other important aspects of buying hemp seed oil and cannabis-derived CBD are the terpenes contained in the CBD products. Conducting personal research on terpenes and experimenting with different products can help determine the right one for you.

CBD vs. Hemp Oil Seed Benefits

Since the FDA has only approved one form of CBD called Epidiolex used to treat two rare forms of seizures, it’s important to understand that CBD extracted from hemp seed oil and cannabis is not designed to treat, cure, or prevent any types of illnesses or health conditions; however, science and clinical trials suggest it has many benefits.

Hemp Extracted CBD for Pain and Inflammation

CBD may help with pain and inflammation for those living with health conditions such as chronic pain, sore muscles, lower back pain, headaches, and other ailments that cause pain.

Hemp-Extract-vs.-CBDCBD Hemp Seed Oil for Insomnia

There are many studies online and available at medical websites like Healthline and Sleep Foundation, where consumers can read about the benefits of CBD for sleep and get accurate information. It’s important to note that CBD is not a quick fix but more of a long-term investment for improved sleep.

Hemp Seed Oil CBD Side Effects

According to a study published in 2017 by the US National Library of Medicine, CBD shows promise for its calming effects in the central nervous system and has very low risks for side effects. However, it could create diarrhea, tiredness, and loss or gain in weight and appetite.

Other side effects of hemp seed oil CBD include:

● Changes in mood
● Anxiety
● Dizziness
● Dry mouth
● Vomiting
● Nausea
● Depression

While cases of side effects are rare with extracted hemp seed oil CBD, it may cause adverse side in those who take too much or mix it with prescription medication.

Conclusion to CBD vs. Hemp Seed Oil

The most significant difference between CBD and hemp seed oil is that CBD extracted from hemp oil seeds comes with less than .03% THC, whereas CBD derived from cannabis may contain higher amounts. Most real CBD users who are cautious of THC prefer the CBD extracted from hemp seed oil.
