the cost of men's wedding bands

What is the Average Cost for Men’s Wedding Bands?

Men have more choice than ever when it comes to a wedding bang with a huge array of materials and designs available so they can match their ring to their personal style.

However, it’s worth considering the price you’ll pay for wedding bands.

Here’s a look at the average expenses associated with different types of rings, so that you know you are getting a good deal.

Natural materials

The contemporary trend to eschew traditional ring designs in favor of more intriguing and experimental alternatives is still going strong.

For example, you can get Antler wedding rings from Alpinerings.com and other reputable outlets. These combine sustainably sourced, genuine antler with a range of metals including titanium and tungsten.

There are also wooden rings, and like antler rings these are appealing and attractive because each and every one exhibits its own unique grain pattern.

In terms of pricing you can expect to pay under $200 for a ring which focuses on natural materials, rather than metals. This is therefore an excellent budget-conscious option, which does not sacrifice aesthetics or meaning in order to be more affordable.

Gold

If gold is the material you want for your wedding band, then you also have a few options to weigh up here. White gold, rose gold and classic yellow gold rings are all widely worn by grooms across the country, and it is best to let your personal preferences guide you when coming to a decision.

The size, style and design of the ring will impact its price, as of course if there is more metal involved, it will be more expensive, as well as fluctuating with the market. Anticipate around $400 to $600 for a gold wedding band.

In fact, $600 is the overall average paid for men’s matrimonial rings, so this might be a good baseline to gauge the products you find against, regardless of your budget.

Stainless Steel

Like titanium, the rise of the stainless steel wedding band for men has been significant in recent years, and this can be used to cover other materials and features as well if you want something a little eye-catching.

Of course a completely plain, minimalistic stainless steel ring can also be selected. If so, this will probably be one of the cheapest options around, with sub-$100 rings not uncommon in this material.

Ceramic

Another leftfield choice for a wedding band, yet one which can feel all the more special for its obscurity, ceramic rings could tick all the boxes if you prefer to forge your own path.

Ceramic rings tend to be combined with other materials, such as natural woods. They are also modestly priced, with $150 or so getting you a stylish and head-turning product which looks far more expensive than it is in reality.

Mineral

The ladies don’t get to have all the fun when it comes to choosing wedding rings with a precious gem included.

And while men might not want to go full-on with the bling in their band, there are subtler options that sit at the masculine end of the spectrum in terms of look and feel.

Turquoise is one of the best examples of this, with the vibrancy of the blue of this mineral making its presence known, without feeling like it is trying to steal the thunder of the diamond-studded band of the bride-to-be.

With prices of around $170-$190 for turquoise-endowed wedding bands, you do not need to break open the piggy bank to splash out on this cool, contemporary material.
