Profile: Lynn Santer

From the subtropical paradise of her lakeside home on the Gold Coast of Australia, bestselling author, activist and multi-awarded filmmaker Lynn Santer has been on a mission for over 20 years to expose the full depth of subversion and misinformation perpetrated by the trophy hunting industry.

Lynn’s most renowned film project, “Land of the Free: Out of the Shadows” is a pull-no-punches documentary that enjoyed its world premiere in London’s House of Commons before going on to win awards all over the world. The film was an integral tool to assist the politicians determined to pass a Prohibition Bill to ban the imports of trophy hunting into the UK.

In a move to inspire people to overcome their challenges, stories of Lynn’s crusade are being highlighted across a two part story in a forthcoming publication entitled “Inspiring Moments” compiled by LK Tommi, published by Turtle Press and available on Amazon this Christmas.

Lynn told us her passion and mission is to recruit the world and educate them on the trophy hunting industry’s nefarious and subversive tactics and behaviours.

“It’s time for the killing to stop, the truth to be told, and legislation to put us on the right side of history,” Lynn said passionately.

“We want to enlist the power of the people to change the world. I believe telling my story and ensuring as many people as possible read it is just the first step.”

“It’s why I have made a series of internationally acclaimed, multi award-winning documentaries, and why we have so ardently supported legislative reforms in the UK, South Africa and elsewhere around the world.”

Part Two of her stories titled, ‘Part Two “The Vote”’, details the private international taskforce Lynn founded, We Herd You (WHY), attempting to save a herd of elephant, including babies, that were held hostage in the Limpopo region of South Africa as propaganda pawns to hijack proposed legislation in the UK.

This story is currently being developed into a major feature film currently called “The Vote”.

“The film will, for the first time, expose all the nefarious and Machiavellian machinations behind the scenes of this battle in a gritty, edge-of-the-seat political thriller,” Lynn told us.

“The dream now is to attract an A-list cast and crew to bring this vital story to world attention,” Lynn explained.

You can keep up to date with Lynn’s work and journey by following her on LinkedIn or Facebook. You can also view more information via Lynn’s website.

Her stories titled ‘Land of the Free – Part One’ and ‘Land of the Free — Part Two “The Vote”’, are detailed in an anthology called “Inspiring Moments” will be published and available to purchase on Amazon early Dec.
