Here comes March Madness!
Kansas won the 2021-2022 championship, and it might just go back-to-back.
Here are the Top 7 teams we consider to be the most worthy for advancing to the Final Four.
#1. Alabama
This is Alabama’s best start in 50 years. The balance in the offense and defensive ranks 5th best in efficiency.
#2. Houston
The Cougars join Alabama as the only two teams in the NCAAB who have ranked in the Top-15 when it comes to KenPom adjusted offensive and defensive efficiency. Houston’s Marcus Sasser and Jamal Shead are dominant performers. It also has star power in its 5-star rated freshman and potential lottery pick for the NBA Draft, Jarace Walker.
#3. Purdue
Turnovers might keep Purdue from advancing. The Boilermakers gave the ball away 49 times in three recent games. Even with ball security issues in defensive pressure situations, Purdue started 23-3.
#4. UCLA
UCLA is a great Final Four bet — March Madness betting odds. The Bruins are unflappable, and Jamie Jaquez Jr. is their backbone and their path to the NCAA Championship.
#5. Kansas
We’ve put the Jayhawks back into the Top 5 for the fact that Bill Self’s team has 11 Quadrant One wins this season. No one else in the NCAAB has over 9. With Jalen Wilson and Dajuan Harris, Kansas has the power to win it all. When Dajuan scores in double figures, Kansas is 10-0. Mix in Mevin McCullar, Gradey Dick, and KJ Adams Jr. and the Jayhawks might just have it all.
#6. Texas
The Longhorns thumped West Virginia by 34 points – a sign of how good they are. Timmy Allen, Marcus Carr, Sir’ Jabari Rice are the backbone of this Final Four-bound club.
#7. Virginia
The Cavaliers started 19-4 and have great experience, poise and plenty of options to advance.
