When Liam Christopher was a child, he dreamed of having more than he could imagine. This was, in part, a child’s longing for a better circumstance. Having grown up mostly homeless among four brothers and a single mother with her own set of problems, this dream—which to many might have been unreasonable or even downright impossible—was something that drove him to push himself in the early parts of his life to obtain even the slightest hint of success.
“I had to hustle and grind to get into Goldman Sachs before I went into business,” Christopher says, “and when I did, I didn’t have much money to start.”
He goes on to state that other challenges would present themselves along the way, including an incident during which he was robbed by a client, leaving his first company almost bankrupt with only one dollar in its bank account.
“I always say that empty pockets never hold anyone back, just empty minds,” Christopher states.
That motto, as well as the intent that comes with it, has made Christopher successful. His first clean energy business made $2.4 million in revenue in a single day. His e-commerce brands have made up to a quarter million in a weekend. He flew from Australia to Los Angeles to launch a skin and hair care line with Fabio, then donated the first month’s profits toward programs benefiting men’s mental health. He also founded a US-based CBD oil brand and has spoken at events on digital marketing, such as Mumbrella.
With all this success, some could assume that Christopher might have adopted a “fake it ‘til you make it” mentality. However, he claims otherwise.
“Everything I’ve ever done has been real,” he states, “and I have the receipts to prove it.”
This new wave of authenticity, which he says is in part inspired by the need to be real in an era where online consumers are bored of “the fake,” is part of his brand, and what he concentrates on in his Unbreakable Podcast, where he dives into the captivating world of money, motivation, mindset, and listens to inspiring stories from fascinating individuals. His Instagram account, which features mostly Reels of stories from his podcast, as well as anecdotes from Liam himself, impress upon the viewer the idea that Liam Christopher is a very real, very authentic person. From offering advice on business to telling stories about how authentic interactions with people can ultimately spread positivity and good fortune, the Reels on Liam’s page highlight a genuine part of his brand that is helping people.
“I feel like this is what I was put on earth for,” he says. “To create insane amounts of money, reach millions of people, and change lives by elevating those around me.”
He adds, as “lame” as it sounds to some, that manifestation is real.
“When I was a little boy in a homeless shelter with my family, I always imagined everything I have now,” Christopher says. “I’ve flown first class around the world, driven and owned cars worth six to seven figures, and lived in homes with the best city views, but I believed my entire life that it would happen. It was never a matter of ‘if,’ just ‘how’ and ‘when.’”
In the next five to ten years, Christopher wants to create a brand worth more than $500 million. If he hasn’t done that, he says he hasn’t achieved his purpose.
“Belief,” he says, “if anything, is the starting point for anything massive.”
Christopher’s story proves that positive thinking, and a hard work ethic, can eventually lead to success, so long as one is willing to put in the effort.
