Consider the odds

When betting, you can decide between win, place, or show.
- Win: you place your bet for the favorite to win, which gives you a chance of 33 per cent to win the bet.
- Place: your horse will come first or second – the profit is lower, but your chances of success increase to 53 per cent.
- Show: your horse will win either the first, second, or third place, with a chance of success of 67 per cent.
