5 Top Things To Look For When Choosing Travel Shoes

Most people finally feel safe flying around the world again, so you might be going on holiday soon. When was the last time you bought a nice pair of travel shoes?

You’ll probably want new ones for your next adventure. Just make sure you choose the right shoes.

It’s not easy to pick up a quality pair in far-off places, so ensure the ones you get satisfy your needs. For example, if you have hyperhidrosis feet you can struggle to keep your feet dry throughout the day so make sure to look for shoes made from a breathable fabric, and avoid patent or plastic shoes as they do not allow a good airflow and may trap sweat inside the shoe.

Here are some important things you should look for in travel shoes:

1. You Need To Be Able To Breathe

If you’re looking on the Walking on a Cloud online shoe store, it’s worth finding a pair your feet will be able to breathe in. Unless you’re going somewhere cold, you’ll need to face the sun while you’re walking around.

You don’t want your feet to start sweating until they’re sitting in puddles of water. When the fabric allows your feet to breathe, it will save them from disaster. It’s also going to be a lot more comfortable.

2. Going Into Markets And Clubs

How many shoes will you take on holiday? If you’re only taking a small backpack, you might have a single pair of shoes. It makes sense if you’ll be spending your days at the beach. You’ll wear flip-flops 90% of the time.

You should be able to wear the shoes you take in different situations, like going to markets and clubs. Make sure they’re casual, and not too sporty. A neutral color is best too, so stay away from anything bright.

3. Easy To Keep In Your Backpack

You might need to stick your shoes inside your backpack during your travels. If you’re wearing your flip-flops on your feet, your shoes will need to be stored away. Do you think they’ll be able to fit inside your backpack?

Make life easier on yourself by choosing a pair you’ll be able to fold into a ball. When looking at shoes for women, slipons fall into this category. You’ll appreciate it because it’s much easier to pack everything up.

4. A Good Grip For Extra Safety

It’s easy for your shoes to get wet when you’re on holiday. At some point, you might need to walk around the pool, or you’ll go for a stroll on the beach. The last thing you need is to fall down and end up in hospital.

You don’t know where you’ll end up if you go on a walking tour. Don’t forget you might end up drinking too much when you’re abroad. If there is a good grip on your shoes, it’s unlikely you’ll fall and hurt yourself.

5. Strong Enough To Stay Together

A cheap pair of shoes might be strong enough to stay together for a week, but there is a chance they’ll fall apart. Even if they don’t end up falling apart, you don’t want to walk around with the sole hanging off.

Avoid choosing the cheapest shoes you can find. It’s worth going with a reputable brand because you know you’ll get quality shoes. Even if it costs a little more, you’ll save money in the long run because they’ll last years.

Ticking All The Boxes

Make sure your travel shoes tick all the boxes we’ve talked about today. You’ll enjoy your holiday more if you don’t run into any trouble.
