The Need for Equity in Human Resources

Nothing is certain in the professional world except for this: it’s constantly changing. New trends rise from the woodwork, new software is developed, new positions are created; it’s a job in itself to stay in the know. One way to fall out of sync in the professional world, is to stay the same amidst the change around us. With evolution, comes gaps that need to be filled. The Human Resources world is clearly impacted if these gaps are not identified and addressed immediately, and efficiently.

The market of hiring and job seeking is inconsistent. Retention incentives that were relevant 5 years ago, are no longer. Organizations are prioritizing culture cultivation before team expansion. Applicants are looking for more than a substantial salary and benefits. The art of hiring is not what it used to be. Now it has become confusing, anxiety inducing, and frustrating… if you don’t do it correct.

In 2020, in the thick of a global pandemic and quarantine, the professional world shifted. This shift caused companies and job holders to look for a confidant to tell them where to turn, to tell them what to do. And so, Diverse Talent was born. Diverse Talent is a Human Resource management & placement firm. Our mission supports the notion that a pipeline exists across all industries and instructs both parties on how to identify the right professional fit.

What makes Diverse Talent so unique and successful is our knowledge that not one company, position, or candidate is the same. A personalized assessment and vetting process is essential when looking to expand an organization or grow one’s professional career. On the client side, ensuring the company’s culture is inclusive and able to retain diversity is our first step. Does the client have an established sense of belonging and representation at all levels of the organization, making the expansion as seamless and comfortable as possible? Is the interview process timely, are the interview questions relevant and insightful on what’s required of the position, is there flexibility within the process? On the candidate side, leveraging their perspective, experience, and skill sets above everything else is number one. Being an advocate, a voice for a candidate who, based on past experiences, isn’t completely comfortable in negotiating their deserved opportunity.

Diverse Talent’s expertise on global industry knowledge eases clients & candidates in the hiring process, and ensures all steps are taken to make a long-term match for both parties. Our organization offers the tools and resources necessary for all professionals to continue their education, to stay in the know, to connect with like-minded professionals of their industry, and to build their professional career into what they desire.
