Steps to Take If You Think You Have COVID But Can’t Get Tested

“Health is wealth.” This alone is enough reason to guard your medical well-being jealousy. However, when we couple this with the fact that, in recent times, the COVID variant has caused a spike in the number of reported cases, you have more motivation than ever before to be on your toes.

Still, you’re human so you can only do so much.

For example, what if you suspect that you have this disease and for some reason, you can’t get a reliable self-testing kit like Healgen Covid Test or book an appointment with your doctor?

If you’re thinking that such a scenario would be a serious problem, you wouldn’t be wrong. However, while things might appear grave, it doesn’t have to be if you take the right steps.

As such, if you think you have COVID and for some reason, you can’t verify this with a test.

Act Like You’re Infected

If you think that you’ve contracted COVID and you can’t find a surefire way to confirm or dispel your worries, then we recommend that you act like the worst has happened and you do in fact have the virus.

True, this might seem like a somewhat extreme measure to take. However, in many instances, it just may help save your life. This is more so the case if you find that you live in a region with a high number of reported cases.

Acting like you have the virus and observing the proper protocols that this entails can do everything from actually dispel your worries (as you may eventually discover that you’re COVID-free) to prevent you from actively or passively spreading the virus.

Major Isolation Guidelines to Remember

At the moment, bodies like the Center for Disease Control encourage people who suspect they have the virus or who may have come in contact with people who have the virus to stay in isolation for a period of 5 full days.

If after this duration you do not display any symptoms or the symptoms that you do have are not as intense or overt as they were before you entered isolation, then you can assume all is well.

You can find a more detailed highlight of other helpful measures you can take here.

Monitoring and Managing Symptoms

Except for a few extreme cases, it should be possible to easily manage a COVID infection from the comfort of your home. The most important thing is that you’re watchful and look for those symptoms that require medical attention to deal with properly.

So, while at home, be sure to do things like drink enough water and do all you can to stay well-hydrated. Also, be sure to eat well and healthily during this period. You can also take medication like ibuprofen to help manage body aches or fever.

But should the symptoms persist or worsen, do not hesitate to seek medical attention promptly. This is because outpatient treatment may prove incredibly for you here.
