Zaher Fallahi, Attorney At Law and CPA

IT IS ONE THING to be a CPA. It is quite different to be a CPA and an attorney.

To be an expert in both fields is rare, yet that is exactly what Zaher Fallahi is.

Fallahi is not only one of the leading specialists in both fields in California, but also in the entire country. He has offices in Los Angeles and Orange Counties, and divides his time between the two.

Because of being a lawyer and a CPA, “I always clients from both legal and tax viewpoint in every case, such as incorporation or contracts laws,” says Fallahi, a top-rated (10.0) attorney on Avvo, the country’s premier legal-rating site.

Fallahi has helped many clients resolve complex tax audits, undisclosed foreign accounts, Foreign Trusts and estate planning, as well as guiding them through the IRS Offshore Voluntary Discourse Program (OVDP), the Report of Foreign Bank & Financial Accounts (FBAR), Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA) and other international tax matters.

“Zaher’s talents and expertise are very unique in his field,” says business professional Koz Khosravani. “He is one of the most amazing, experienced and knowledgeable people I’ve ever met. He knows taxes and law better than anyone has ever served in this capacity. He’s knows everything when it comes to tax law and accounting. He is a master.”

As a CPA, Zaher assists clients, including Americans living abroad and U.S. non-resident aliens subject to the USA taxation, with their particular tax returns preparation. He also testifies in court as an expert witness with respect to tax and accounting matters. His clients come from over 30 different countries.

Fallahi has special knowledge of the U.S. Laws of Sanctions against Iran, also known as Iranian Transactions and Sanctions Regulations (ITSR), and he advises Persian-Americans with intended transactions in Iran, such as sale of property in Iran and transfer of the related funds to the U.S. in conformity with the U.S. Treasury Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) and the U.S. tax laws.

He practices as an OFAC Attorney and has a radio talk show in Los Angeles on cases that entail both legal and tax consequences.
