For the 15th year in a row, U.C. Berkeley held onto the No. 1 spot in U.S. News & World Report’s list of top public universities, which was released today.
Princeton remained the top university in the country and Harvard No. 2, while here in California, Stanford slipped from last year’s No. 4 spot to No. 5.

In the list of top public schools, the University of California system led the way with Berkeley first, Los Angeles second, Santa Barbara eighth, Irvine ninth, and San Diego and Davis tying for No. 10.
