As spiritual interest grows among professionals and entrepreneurs seeking purpose beyond performance, a global movement rooted in ancient wisdom is gaining traction—even in the heart of Southern California. Bhakti Marga, which means “the path of devotion,” is a spiritual organization founded by Paramahamsa Sri Swami Vishwananda and active in more than 80 countries worldwide.
At its core, Bhakti Marga offers a simple message with profound implications: reconnect with the Divine through love, service, and inner transformation. The path is grounded in the Hindu tradition but designed to transcend religious boundaries—emphasizing practice over philosophy and personal experience over dogma.
With a growing presence in the U.S., Bhakti Marga shares its teachings through sacred music, ritual, spiritual storytelling, and one of its most powerful tools—mantra.
As Swami Aniruddha, a senior monastic teacher within the movement, explains:
“Mantra means that which protects the mind. It calms the mind and opens the heart. Just as Wi-Fi connects you to the internet anywhere, a mantra connects you to the Divine at any time—while cooking, driving, even in a flight. It purifies the mind and opens the heart wherever you are.”
Swami Aniruddha and other Bhakti Marga leaders regularly travel across the U.S. and Latin America, bringing this message to new audiences and guiding local communities through satsangs (spiritual gatherings), OM chanting circles, and workshops designed to bring ancient spiritual practices into everyday life.
A Growing Community in Long Beach
Southern California has become a key anchor for Bhakti Marga in North America. In Long Beach, the movement established the Nitya-Mahima Panduranga-Mandir Temple, where a vibrant local community gathers weekly for devotional practices and community building. The temple hosts a Sunday evening OM chanting circle from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM, open to all who wish to explore mantra, meditation, and the power of collective intention.
The Long Beach temple isn’t just a place of worship—it’s a spiritual hub for people seeking inner peace, self-understanding, and a path that blends heart and discipline.
As the Bhakti Marga movement continues to grow across the U.S., its leaders remain focused on what has always been at the center of their mission: helping people live with more love, clarity, and connection—no matter where they are on their spiritual journey.
