Why Antimalware is Key for Your Systems

It’s key to have an all-around antimalware suite at your disposal to protect your internet traffic and the integrity of your devices while browsing the internet.

In 2022, you’re more at risk than ever, and organizations have since lost billions of dollars due to cybercrime. What supplements cybercrime is malware or malicious software. It is key to be protected against it in this day and age; no matter who you are – you are a risk.

With the increased risk of cybercrime and the increasing demand for device security and online anonymity (or privacy), an antimalware suite is an integral part of having good cyber hygiene today. Therefore, this article will talk about what malware is and then suggest a premium antimalware program.

What Is Malware?

Malware, or malicious software, has caused billions of dollars in damage to multiple industries and organizations around the world. In fact, the world’s largest insurer, Allianz, puts cyber risks above all other security risks to global security! This means that even physical war is deemed less of a risk than hackers and malware! As unbelievable as this sounds, it makes sense.

When you realize that over five billion people are now connected to the internet, not to mention countless organizations, including millions of employees, you can imagine the amount of risk that exists. On top of that, there are dozens of billions of devices online at the moment, and the vast majority of them are smartphones.

Now, how many of these billions of devices and thousands of organizations are secured from digital threats like malware? Malware, of course, means anything from trojans, viruses, and worms to keyloggers and hack-kits. The amount and variety of malicious software out there are seemingly endless and are consistently growing and evolving.

The internet has advanced so much that every day people log on and download malicious software from areas like the dark web. This can even be done for free nowadays! This is why the internet is a double-edged sword, because its practicality, speed, and width benefit both those wanting to do good and those who are ill-intentioned.

The most common way malware can infect a device is surprisingly simple. It is what is known as a phishing scam. Getting infected by malware is not as simple as someone hacking into your devices. This is what usually occurs in films.

Simply put, the most common way you can get infected is through a malicious email. All a hacker or scammer has to do is send you an infected email, such as one with a malicious link or malicious attachment. Then, once you click this and open it, it is usually too late, and you have been infected with malware.

Malware can also hit your system if you visit suspicious websites and accidentally click an advertisement. Oftentimes, a file will be downloaded in the background, and you may not even notice it.

When it comes to large organizations, simple infection vectors also do apply; however, the hackers that target big companies usually orchestrate hacks for months and in more sophisticated ways than just phishing emails. This can be a ransomware attack, a DDoS attack, the exploitation of a zero-day, and much more.

However, the average user will be well protected with a premium antimalware suite like the one we’re going to talk about below.

What is an Anti-Malware Suite?

An antimalware suite like Norton360 (which is considered to be one of the best antimalware solutions by global cybersecurity experts) is more than enough to completely secure the average internet user. It can even be used in small to mid-business (SMB) situations. It is quite comprehensive.

What does Norton360 offer that is key? First of all, the program offers security, privacy, ease of use, and great speed and uses low resources on any system. All of these traits are key to a good, premium security program.

Norton360’s other benefits and features include multi-system compatibility and additional features like a password manager, VPN, and a dark web monitor. Adding to the real-time threat protection features, you will get a great user interface, good cloud storage, and the availability of mobile versions of the app. To top it all off, you will get great customer support.

After all, Norton is a great, legendary name in computer security. Who hasn’t heard of Norton’s Antivirus? The product is distributed by the computer security software vendor Symantec Corporation (and Norton Antivirus is still going strong today).

To top it all off, here is what you are going to get with Norton360 with Lifelock Ultimate Plus – a premium anti-identity theft feature. You are going to get a good price, first of all. Next, you will be able to connect simultaneous devices. You are also getting great and essential features such as real-time threat protection, a smart firewall, and cloud backups.

But wait, it’s not over! On top of all of that, you will get features like SafeCam, parental control, School Time, Privacy Monitor, Credit Monitoring, Identity Theft Alert System, Phone Takeover Package, data breach notifications, and more. The list is comprehensive.

Why not grab Norton360 With Lifelock Premium Plus for just under $300 a year and protect your entire life’s work or sensitive data with added peace of mind?

You should also think about adding a VPN (Virtual Private Network) to the mix. This network security tool will encrypt your connection and anonymize your IP and DNS address. Why not be anonymous, encrypted, and free from malware at the same time?

In today’s age, it is essential to protect as many layers of the OSI security model as possible. This means that you should think about your router and through to your system’s files. With a solution like Norton360 combined with a VPN, you cannot go wrong.

Enjoy being safe, secure, and free of malware, and protect your identity at all times while online. Remember, peace of mind is truly invaluable these days, and that starts with proper cyber hygiene and cyber security.
