Travel: Business Trips to Phoenix

As the tech sector continues to flourish in Phoenix like a cactus in bloom, more Californians are crossing state lines for work meetings and business endeavors. And let’s be real, if you’re trading the Golden Gate for the Sonoran skyline, why not squeeze every drop of experience out of your stay? Here’s how to combine work and play in Phoenix:

Getting Around Phoenix

Phoenix has come a long way in recent years. With the Valley Metro Light Rail and the bus system expanding its routes, there are plenty of clean and safe ways to navigate the city when visiting for a leisurely trip. However, switching the gears to work purposes, you can cut the queue of waiting for public transport from the airport to get to your accommodation in a fraction of the time by renting a car. And, assuming you want to see the sights in between your daily conferences, opting for a rental car is going to be your best bet.

With some wheels, you can hike Camelback Mountain in the early morning and still be ready and showered for your 9 a.m. start. To secure your ride, it’s probably worth research offers in advance for a cost-effective solution. These budget car rental coupons from Groupon could enable you to save directly on the rental, with the possibility of a free vehicle upgrade when booking through one of their pages. This way, you’ll have more cash for the well-deserved downtime aspect of your business trip. It can’t be all work, no play, after all.

The Morning and Afternoon

Start your day off right at Cartel Coffee Lab, a local favorite known for its exceptional coffee and minimalist-chic ambiance. With a laptop in tow, enjoy a cup of their expertly brewed coffee while you map out your day’s agenda. It’s the perfect spot to caffeinate and conquer.

For your business meetings, why not choose a venue that combines style with breathtaking views? The Camby Hotel offers luxurious meeting spaces that showcase Phoenix’s skyline and nearby Camelback Mountain. Talk about turning the mundane into something truly memorable.

When lunchtime hits, head over to Short Leash Hot Dogs for a gourmet hot dog experience like no other. These aren’t your average franks – think unique toppings, inventive flavor combinations, and a side of food-truck charm. Don’t be surprised if you strike up a conversation with fellow diners about their favorite creations.

After a productive day, escape the boardroom and ascend Camelback Mountain for a well-deserved ‘best hike of Phoenix’ as stated by Visit Phoenix. The Echo Canyon Trail offers a challenging hike with rewarding panoramic views at the top. Breathe in the desert air and let your mind unwind as you marvel at the city below.

The Evening

As the sun begins to set, make your way to Lustre Rooftop Bar for some relaxed networking against the stunning backdrop of a desert sunset. Located atop the Kimpton Hotel Palomar, this spot offers delicious craft cocktails and a trendy atmosphere that’s sure to impress your business contacts.

After a tipple or two, head to the Heard Museum so that you can learn about Phoenix’s native culture. This renowned institution features an array of exhibits and artwork that celebrate the heritage of Southwest’s indigenous peoples. It’s a chance to immerse yourself in the city’s cultural tapestry.

For dinner, treat yourself to an unforgettable meal at The Mission. This upscale yet casual restaurant serves modern Latin cuisine with a Southwest twist. From their famous tableside guacamole to mouthwatering carne asada, every bite is a culinary journey through the flavors of the region.

Work and Play In Phoenix

With Phoenix’s growing tech center, affordable travel expenses, and thriving cultural scene, you’d be mad not to choose Phoenix as your next business trip location. Whether you’re sipping on artisan coffee while strategizing, networking against a backdrop of desert hues, or indulging in culinary creations that celebrate Phoenix’s unique essence, what’s certain is that you’ll fall in love with this wondrous city.

Be sure to keep an eye out for the numerous business-related events, conferences, and meetups that the city hosts throughout the year. These provide ample opportunities for networking, learning, and collaborating with like-minded professionals from different fields.
