An ambassador is a representative of a brand among its target audience. This person represents the company in front of the target audience, uses its products, and talks about them. For a simpler understanding, we can say that this is also a kind of intermediary between the brand and the audience.

The format of ambassadorship has been known for a long time. However, a few years ago, ambassadorship was practiced only by top companies and in collaboration with millionaire bloggers.

Now, the format is becoming widespread. It is also used by small firms working with less popular influencers. Many bloggers are interested in it and join such programs with enthusiasm.

Collaboration in Product Creation

Many bloggers release their own merchandise – sweatshirts, hats, caps, bags, and much more. Often, it is the result of a collaboration between a blogger and a direct manufacturer. The format is for everyone:

  • The blogger receives additional income from merchandise sales.
  • The manufacturer receives a large audience of buyers who come from the blogger.

Everything seems to be positive. Nevertheless, merch is just one of the results of a collaboration between a company and a blogger. Joint products can be very different: language schools, guitar courses, alcoholic drinks, camping equipment, appliances, cosmetics, and much more.

For example, Kanye West has partnered with Adidas to release a concept line of Yeezy sneakers. The design, the latest technology, the limited series, and the popular face in the advertising campaign have done their job. New sneakers were sold like hot cakes.

In addition, McDonald’s released different McCombos together with bloggers. The popular presenter and blogger personally compiled a signature set of dishes. Anyone could come to McDonald’s and order such McCombo.

Influencers in Brand Advertising Creatives

There are classic advertising integrations in posts and videos of popular bloggers. Now, a different format appeared. In this case, a blogger participates in the creation of advertising, but the creative itself is not published in their profile. Placement is handled by the advertiser.

There are many options where such a creative can be used: banners on websites, targeted or outdoor advertising, TV commercials, and so on.

The format, by the way, is also far from new. operators launched such campaigns, during which advertisements with popular bloggers were placed on billboards.

These trends will be at the peak of popularity in 2022. However, is it worth focusing only on them? Everything popular quickly becomes boring and soon causes only rejection by a potential client.
Therefore, you need to pay attention to less common but still important trends. For example, popular bloggers launch video streams and sell a particular product. In 2020, in China, the total in this way got nearly 171 billion dollars. In 2021, this amount was close to 200 billion. And today, in 2022, it continues to grow.
