While it’s true that the COVID-19 pandemic has ripped the heart out of a large portion of the restaurant industry it’s also true that some players within the dining industry have gone from strength to strength, ably retaining their custom base and at times actually grown during this period of crisis.

As countless restaurants, and bars, fall by the wayside, crippled by regulations that are, on the whole, necessary to keep us all safe, it’s worth celebrating those that have managed to stick through it all and are available to fulfill your culinary needs.

Here are three that are worthy of a mention.

The Hungry Fisherman
The Hungry Fisherman

The Hungry Fisherman

This great restaurant, situated in Morro Bay, has done a great job in adapting to the new ‘normal’ and the effective adoption of new guidelines and able patio dining area has helped to make this establishment stand out from the crowd.

Though restricted in capacity the Hungry Fisherman has made great use of curbside pick-up areas and their take-out menu has never been so popular.

Hog’s BreathHog’s Breath

Another eatery that has made good use of their outdoor facilities, the Hog’s Breath Inn in Monterrey have made the most of the restrictions imposed upon the region and their contactless food and drinks menu have proven to be very popular.

Even in the impending winter their well heated outdoor area, including outdoor restaurant booths, is inviting as is their homely menu and their super-friendly service.

Plus, we can’t get enough of their simple divine clam chowder!

L’Antica Pizzeria da Michele

This superb pizzeria has transitioned as well as can be expected in these tough times, offering a great drive-in service, taking advantage of a loophole that allows them to open for screenings.

This LA establishment always offers great food and has done what it can to stay afloat and who could turn down the offer of a great film to partner a myriad of superb pizzas, pastas and a smattering of anti-pasti.

Now remember that your local restaurant is more than just a place to secure your food. It’s also an endeavor that offers employment and a business that needs your help to keep its head above water, so make the most of those restaurants that are still operating and make sure to observe the relevant guidelines while doing so.

Here is an innovative Tech Platform to Manage Restaurants in a COVID-19 World.
