Los Angeles is a great place to settle down and raise a family. You’ll find some excellent childcare facilities, school districts with public and private schools, pediatric healthcare, shopping, and entertainment venues. Although finding neighborhoods suitable for a middle-class family can be challenging, we do have some viable options for you. Extensive research shows that the average middle-class family likely has an income ranging from $50,000 to $150,000 per year and can easily invest in a home costing $1 million on average. If this is your criteria, here are a few possible options. Do keep in mind that whatever may be your decision, you’re sure to find a good Los Angeles moving company to help you get settled in.

Culver City

This neighborhood is akin to being almost like a city within another city, and it is considered the main entertainment hub. Not every family may enjoy the hustle and bustle of living in a busy suburban neighborhood like Culver City. However, it has a lot of diversity, and access to coffee shops, parks, restaurants, and bars that make it a desirable place to live for many families. You can also find some of the best public schools in the state. The population is around 40,000, and the rent averages at $1,888.

Sherman Oaks

Sherman Oaks is part of the San Fernando Valley and is a neighborhood that has a quaint and distinct suburban feel to it. It has all the amenities you may need, like playgrounds, play areas, schools, homely cafeterias, and boutique stores for shopping. The people here are warm and friendly, making Sherman Oaks stand out as one of the best places in LA to live with your family. The weekly farmers’ markets are an added positive. The population is around 70,000, and the rent averages at $2,095.

Santa Monica

This is a very idyllic beach town located on the absolute western boundary of LA. Santa Monica can offer a lot to families, like some of the best public and private schools in LA, making it a popular school district and among the best in LA. It also has some fantastic museums, shopping malls, and the beach. You’ll find that the overall mood is upbeat and liberal, and the demographic is young professionals. The population is around 92,000, and the rent averages at $1,802.

Eagle Rock

Eagle Rock is located on the west of Pasadena. It is known for having a very chilled-out and positive environment that is absolutely perfect for setting up a home and life. Well-ranked schools, a public library, and access to the farmer’s market every week are only some of the reasons for its popularity among young families. Eagle Rock is absolutely ideal for families that want the feel of a small town but have everything they need to be liveable. The population is around 35,000, and the rent averages at $2,200.

Cheviot Hills

Cheviot Hills is a little pocket within Century City and south of Beverly Hills. It is easily one of the most underrated places for families to live in LA. It has excellent public elementary and public schools in LA. The neighborhood also has a local recreation center and a park where the kids and pets can play. You might consider it a close-knit community where everyone knows each other. The population is around 12,000, and the rent averages at $1,865.

With so many great options to choose from, you’ll enjoy every moment of your life in the City of Angels, Los Angeles.
