Quantum Clinic Integrates Mind, Body, Spirit and Soul for Best Health; Its Innovative Approach Uses a Combination of Evidence-Based Treatments to Support the Whole Human

Physical, emotional, mental, spiritual … the pandemic has taught us is that health isn’t just one thing. It’s not just a breakdown of isolated anatomical parts, where professionals treat the one mechanism that isn’t working properly. In fact, we are a complex system of interdependent components and if one circuit goes down, it can cause a systemic chain reaction throughout.

Co-founder and CEO of Quantum Clinic in Los Angeles, Katelyn Lehman, Ph.D., is also the chief systems architect. She partnered with her co-founder, Dr. Maria Ramos, Psy.D., director of clinical operations, to create a new concept in holistic health.

Katelyn Lehman

“Quantum Clinic opened its doors in January of this year but it’s been about two years in the making,” Lehman told California Business Journal. “”Both my business partner, Dr. Maria Ramos, and I hold doctoral degrees in clinical psychology and so we started to ask ourselves, ‘Is there a way to put together existing evidence-based treatments in a way that supports the whole human?’ Mind, body, spirit, soul. Of course, integrative care is not a new concept but there is a profound need for technological innovation in the field of preventative whole-person care.”

The two brainstormed how they could create something to fill this void. They wanted to combine elements of biofeedback training called heart-brain coherence and tapping into that with cutting-edge resonance science and quantum mechanics. Bio or cellular resonance is a type of alternative medicine based on understanding that the human body is made up of vibrations and that certain frequencies can be used to promote health and healing, according to company literature.

This uses sound or hertz frequencies to support autonomic nervous system regulation and it is done in a float tank. Float therapy – using sensory deprivation, light and sound to foster deep relaxation – has exploded in recent years for stress and anxiety relief and clinics can be found throughout the United States and worldwide.

“There are many float studios and the float tank itself is a really wonderful experience for people who deal with a variety of issues,” Lehman says. “It’s used in sports performance settings, to reduce stress and inflammation, and people with chronic pain benefit from floating which alleviates about 90% of the effective gravity on the body. Quantum Clinic differentiates from other floating studios by layering in biofeedback and frequency therapy to enhance the therapeutic effect.”

Quantum Clinic has two primary services which operate in a paradigm the founders call, “healing through coherence.” Or as their tagline says, “A spa treatment for your DNA.”

“We discovered that it is possible to provide a service that supports a harmonization of  the electromagnetic information in the body, this information is what makes you, you. We achieve that by using a combination of both intra-individual practices in what’s called heart-brain coherence and by using sound. We have two services. One is a dry service, our Scalar Upgrade, which is a 45-minute service on a vibrating waterbed with frequencies administered through headphones and the current passing through a Base-12 scalar technology called the Rasha. The other is our flotation therapy. We have two different sized tanks – the luxury tank is suitable for couples or the deluxe tank is an individual size. Individuals can purchase a luxury tank experience if they want more room. The frequency protocols are administered in the audio speakers of the float tanks themselves.”

The staff at Quantum Clinics want clients to understand that they can expect to have a deeply relaxing and restorative experience. The center itself, in the Elysian Valley area north of Downtown Los Angeles, offers a mini “escape from the city” environment, with a river walking path surrounded by nature with a variety of bird, frog and fish species.

“We wanted to create an experience where people can really tune in to their own innate frequency by providing a space where they can fully surrender to whatever it is that they are here to experience and learn,” Lehman says. “You could think of the quantum realm as sensations, images, feelings and thoughts or SIFT. When people are in these spaces, they have sense memories, see colors and experience sensations in their body they’ve never tapped into. We facilitate a process of integration for our clients to further express this after their treatments.”

At the beginning of an appointment, clients do a coherence-based meditation, and following the service, Quantum Clinic offers a selection of herbal teas, fresh water and the opportunity to visit the “expressive arts lounge.”

“We’ve curated a series of prompts for individuals to take their experience and integrate it into them into themselves through doing a body map with crayons or pastels, or maybe it’s a collage, to support a psychological, emotional or spiritual integration of whatever quantum content comes up to them. For the last 150 years, we’ve looked at disease from a reductionist perspective. Not looking at people holistically has been to our detriment. This dovetails into a conversation about policy on so many levels regarding how we’re taking care of people – from nutrition, healthcare and living areas. We wanted Quantum Clinic to serve as a model for what a preventative care space could look like.”

Lehman explains that these practices are about shifting the cultural narrative around what promotes health and human functioning away from the traditional biochemical model, where we are just taking a pill to treat symptoms but never get to the level of biophysics – energy frequency and vibration – that might help us to prevent unnecessary medical intervention.

“At Quantum Clinic we created a service specifically addresses stress reduction and inflammation, which by some estimates is attributable for over 90% of all disease,” she concludes. “And it has a whole host of benefits for reducing chronic pain, supporting improved attention, concentration, focus, muscle recovery, emotional processing, etc. There’s a great deal of benefit that can be found in this this type of an experience we think it needs to be more available for everyone.”

If you don’t live in the L.A. area, but can get there occasionally or just once, you can still reap the benefits of a visit to Quantum Clinic. Products sold in the store, including an extensive array of health-related books and innovative skincare products. This includes The Inner Balance™ biofeedback sensor and app you can use on your own.
