Joining ESSENCE about two years ago, Malcolm-Thornton has overseen a historic surge in revenue. Her responsibilities at ESSENCE include leading Sales, Sales Development & Strategy, Account Management, and Sales Operations, showcasing her versatile skill set and business acumen.
Prior to her role at ESSENCE, she served as the Senior Vice President of Global Sales at BEN, where she led a team that has doubled revenue year over year. Her extensive experience also includes senior sales leadership positions at renowned media companies such as The Walt Disney Company, Conde Nast, and Quibi.
Her educational background has played a crucial role in shaping her success. A graduate of Baruch College, she holds a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Marketing and a Minor in Computer Science. Additionally, she earned an Executive Management Certificate from Harvard Business School, further solidifying her expertise in the industry.
Beyond her professional achievements, Malcolm-Thornton is actively involved in philanthropy, serving as a board member at the Cayton Museum, the only children’s museum in Los Angeles.
