Experience ancient beasts, “vivid reconstructions” and “rare fossils” in new exhibit at L.A. Natural History Museum
For over 200 million years, mammals have inhabited the Earth. In this epic evolutionary journey, mammals lived with—and even ate—dinosaurs, swam in the ocean, flew in the air, and became the fastest land animals of all time. This Spring, NHMLA presents Extreme Mammals: Odd Features. Unusual Creatures. Explore the evolutionary standouts and oddities from the largest to smallest, the speediest to sloth-like, and features such as over-sized claws, fangs, snouts, and horns. Visitors will marvel at the bizarre, amazing, and extraordinary world of extinct and living mammals.
